Questions
- Can I use this lofi in my YouTube videos?
- Yes. Every track here is free to use with credit on YouTube and all social media platforms (TikTok, Instagram, Twitch, Facebook, X…), monetized videos and livestreams included. The licence is CC BY 4.0, so the only condition is the credit.
- What credit do I put in the description?
- Music by Purrple Cat (purrplecat.com), licensed under CC BY 4.0: creativecommons.org/licenses/by/4.0/ . If you use several tracks, the copy buttons on every mix and in the chapter maker write the timestamps and the credit for you.
- Will I get a copyright claim?
- You shouldn’t. Claims happen when someone uploads the music to streaming services, because that puts it into Content ID. That is why the one rule is: don’t upload the music, or remixes, samples or covers of it, to Spotify, Apple Music, YouTube Music or other music streaming services. If a claim ever does appear on a normal video, dispute it and quote the CC BY 4.0 licence.
- Is any of this made with AI?

- Is this site part of YouTube?
- No. lofiyoutube.com is a Purrple Cat site for people who play or use lofi on YouTube. It isn’t affiliated with YouTube or Google.
